Meet Will Spencer, Bild's growth lead! We chatted with Will to learn a little bit more about his role in the company, his impressive past experience, and the trends he sees in the hardware industry.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Definitely! I have lived on the West Coast my whole life. I grew up in Seattle and went to college in California at Stanford. I have been back in Seattle for three years now and love being able to spend time (often outdoors) with my friends and family in the area.

What brought you to Bild?

I studied mechanical engineering in college and joined Microsoft after graduation to work with the Surface team. I am a big believer in the impact that new hardware technology has on benefiting society. When I saw that Bild’s product helps hardware teams improve how they work together and design products, I was excited to contribute.

What do you do at Bild, and what do you enjoy most about your work?

I work on our product’s growth - the more people trying our product and using it to improve how they work the better! I most enjoy working with our team at Bild and having a good time as we get things done.

What are you most excited about as Bild continues to grow?

I am most excited about contributing to Bild’s mission to make collaboration easier for hardware teams. At the end of the day, this means we get to help engineers ship important and cool products.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

After a busy day, I love to go for a run. As we head into spring and the days get longer, it is nice to be able to catch some sunlight after work. The warmer weather helps too!

What is your favorite hardware product?

My new favorite product is my Apple AirPods Max headphones. Their sound quality is great, and I am looking forward to using the noise canceling next time I fly.

What are some trends in the hardware industry that you’re most excited to see in the coming years?

I am most excited about all the mobility and robotics tech being built. I think improvements in these areas will help businesses become more efficient and have lower environmental footprints.

Welcome to team, Will!
